Patricia Arquette is headed to CBS.
The veteran actress has been cast on the planned CSI spinoff, which will focus on the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI in Quantico, Virginia.
Network sources confirm that Arquette will anchor the pilot as Special Agent Avery Ryan, the person in charge of investigating those who take their illegal online activity into the real world.
Ryan is based on real-life Cyber Psychologist Mary Aiken, who will serve as a producer on the series. Its pilot will air as a part of a regular CSI episode later this season.
